This book of poetry is about a woman who experienced unfathomable domestic violence and how she escaped from the prison of her marriage and healed her life. Her moment of clarity came when she was being choked with the case that held the marriage certificate, and she almost passed out. She thought, "Till death do us part" did not mean by the hands of her husband, and she planned her escape.
