A Year of Healing: What I've Learned Since Publishing My Story-Anniversary Special!

As you can see, the book recently won second place in the Bookfest Awards!

Today is the 3-week countdown to the first anniversary of publishing my book Dually Diagnosed Dually Blessed: From Struggle to Purpose! I cannot believe it's been a year! When I clicked "Publish", I had no idea the immediate impact it would make, especially within the first week. In the Kindle store, it reached #1 in Personality Disorders, #2 in Drug Dependency & Recovery, and #7 in Family Health, and the paperback reached #25 on Amazon's New Releases list.

To celebrate, from now until the end of December, I'm offering a signed copy of my book with an Angel Tarot or Oracle Card Reading for only $55! That's 50% off! https://www.coventinawaterhawk.com/services

What surprised me most was the response from readers. One purchased SEVEN copies after reading only half the book because they knew it would help the people in their lives with similar struggles.

My book was chosen for the "Book Club" at a PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation) group, and the feedback was humbling. One reader thanked me for writing my truth because it gave them a sense of belonging and hope that they, too, can get better.

Beginning in December 2025, the book will be a workbook for a holistic IOP group I'll be leading at the local Dual-Diagnosis hospital, sharing the various coping strategies (Chapter 3) that are helping them stay balanced.

Writing this book solidified my life purpose and how embracing my deepest, most vulnerable authenticity, holding back nothing, has reached more people than I could have envisioned. What I had hoped for was the ripple effect of a rock in a pond, but instead, it's been one tidal wave after another, as if a meteor had crashed into the ocean.

"Healing" has no destination. It's an ongoing journey, recovery never ends, and that's okay. It's the peeling of the onion, sometimes one layer at a time, and other times, multiple layers at once, like the need to let go of beliefs that no longer serve. I think of the "Tower" card in Tarot so many fear, but for me, it represents freedom, a burst of energy, and clarity for a new path forward.

I am excited to share what's next, but only in general terms. I am working on a companion oracle deck for a daily dose of inspiration.

I am accepting story submissions for the second edition. The deadline is March 13, 2026, and the release date is June 13, 2026. If you are interested, please let me know. In the meantime, if you'd like to share part of your story here, please do. You are not alone.

Again, I'm offering a signed copy of my book, along with an Angel Tarot or Oracle Card Reading, for only $55! That's 50% off! https://www.coventinawaterhawk.com/services

Thank you for being part of this journey. With gratitude & hope,

Coventina
